Okay, so maybe this is my first attempt at putting together a CD. There is a lot to learn, ya know. Songwriting, recording, audio engineering, mixing, mastering, CD art work. For a DIYer like me, the learning curve is huge. Maybe I didn’t get it quite right the first time through, but it’s all done with heart and attitude.... and that’s what this CD is all about. You won't be amazed by any blazing guitar skills or musical talents on this CD. The recordings are not hallmarked with exceptional engineering skills and you might even hear a voice crack on certain notes. But despite all this, you are going to enjoy listening to Stranded, my debut CD.From the first red hot chord-ripping intro of Finding Freedom to the somber tones of La Brisa (a love song for my boat) to the last track, Hurricane complete with a faux-audience, you will find the main ingredient for all these songs is Attitude. And I have a treasure chest full of that.Whether you are a sailor, a sailor-at-heart, or even a motor-boater pulling the kids on an inner tube... you might be on a close hauled tack in the Southern Ocean or stuck in traffic during the afternoon rush hour, you're going to enjoy the journey around the world with me.
1 Finding Freedom - A song for someone I know who took off the sail the world 2 Keep Moving On- Being too drunk to know where I am. 3 Stranded- Always thought it was kind of funny to name a boat “Stranded”. 4 Senorita- My first song. Pathetic, I know. 8 Trouble in Paradise - Never beat the village elder at a game of dominoes. 9 The Life of the Irish Pirate - 10 Out Here- 11 Walk With Me - An Acoustic version of the song.12 Hurricane- Lame and fun at the same time.
